Chris Hartig, PGA

Chris Hartig, PGA graduated from Radford University with a B.S. degree in commercial recreation management. His love of golf, combined with a natural business sense led him to choose golf course management as a profession. Chris completed the PGA of America’s Golf Professional Training Program and becoming a class “A” member in 2000. His work experience include operations and leadership positions at daily fee, private and Resort Clubs in Virginia and Florida Most recently Virginia’s largest golf resort, Kingsmill Resort & Club in Williamsburg VA. During his tenure at Kingsmill, Mr. Hartig quickly ascended to Head Golf Professional and then on to Director of Golf Operations. Chris’ responsibilities expanded beyond golf course operations as well. He was selected to participate in continuing management education and leadership development through Kingsmill’s parent company Anheuser Busch. Chris led an interdepartmental leadership group tasked with solving and implementing solutions to resort wide challenges. He also participated in cross property marketing group that was responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans for Kingsmill Resort, Busch Gardens and Water Country.

In 2008 Chris left Kingsmill to takeover growth and development of Premier LLC Marketing and Reservation Services. Chris applied his leadership, marketing and business development skills to Premier LLC’s lead brands, Virginia Golf Vacations and Williamsburg Vacations. In 2007 Premier LLC’s annual sales where less than $300,000. In 2014 annual sales were 2.5 Million dollars, exceeding 2 million dollars for the third consecutive year. Chris is also actively involved within the golf and local business community, participating in a variety of Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce Advisory Committee’s and from 2008-2014 he served on the Middle Atlantic PGA’s Board of Directors for the Southern Chapter.
